Dear friends

Because all of you have supported Gomde Germany-Austria in so many wonderful ways, with the gift of your valuable time and energy as well as with generous contributions, Gut zu Rath has made fantastic leaps forward.  After just four short years, Gomde has become a delightful retreat place open to practitioners and visitors of every background.

A guided tour with Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche here

Various projects are under lively discussion, such as efforts to make Gomde homier, more functional and to reinforce the existing structure of the original building.  Our most pressing undertakings will be to add comfortable new rooms in the unfinished section of Gomde, to landscape a spacious terrace in front of Gomde’s new dining hall and to systematically dry and seal sections of Gomde’s basement that have been prone to dampness.

At Gomde, we deeply appreciate any and all financial support and welcome your participation. Skilled labor, in specialized areas of plastering, carpentry, plumbing and electrical engineering, is urgently required and especially appreciated.

Of course, we prize donations of useful household items, such as sturdy furniture and good quality work tools of any kind.

However much time and energy you can spare for these worthwhile endeavors, we at Gomde are always touched by your good wishes, rejoice in the possibility of your participation and look forward to seeing you at Gomde now and in years to come!
